What does the TEAM PRYDE program mean to you?
To me it is about the exploration and finding new and challenging rides wherever they may be. Whether the ride is just out your door or in another country every ride has it's memorable moments and those things stick with you forever.
Why are you interested in documenting rides?
As a filmmaker I've had the opportunity to document rides all over the US and NeilPryde's TEAM PRYDE project is an extension of that and it will be great to share more amazing rides with more people and hopefully it will inspire them to get out and explore those rides and/or their own epic rides.
Who is your favorite cyclist?
I've got 2 favorite cyclists. My good friends from the Rapha Continental, Cole Maness and Ben Lieberson. Both of them have an amazing outlook on life and riding and they inspire me to ride and continue to explore.
What was your first bike?
My first bike was a Huffy BMX when I was a kid.
Where would be your preferred place to ride?
I really enjoy coming back home and riding in the Reno/Lake Tahoe area. There are so many good rides here. Also, I lived in Turin, Italy for a couple of years while I was studying at university and the riding there is amazing. The Alps are right there and many famous climbs like Le Colle della Maddelena, Galibier, and Alpe d'Huez to name a few are right in that area so I really love riding
Why do you prefer cycling over other sports activities?
Cycling is absolutely the most physically demanding thing I've ever done. In contrast to the difficulty of it is the beauty of it. Not many sports take place in such beautiful terrain and surroundings. Also the accessibility of cycling is one of the amazing things about it. I love knowing that all I have to do is step out the door and jump on my bike..
What is your current occupation and why do you do it?
I am a filmmaker. Lately I've been doing a lot of documentaries and I really enjoy the challenges that come along with filming things in the moment rather than with a script. It is a job that keeps me traveling so I am able to see and experience many amazing countries and cultures.
