Tour of Friendship 2011 Competition
Best NeilPryde Rider at the Tour of Friendship 2011:
Sean Smith

The Competition

We know you like to play. So we've come up with a competition where you can win one of 5 official Tour of Friendship 2011 leader jerseys.

So what do you have to do? The Tour of Friendship will start on Saturday 30 April and will have 5 stages. To be in with a chance of winning a leader jersey, you simply have to guess the best NeilPryde Rider of the whole Tour.

The competition is now open and will close on Thursday, 4 May 2011 6am (Bangkok, Thailand time) right before the final stage.

To help you, we will be posting the best NeilPryde Epic Rider of each stage every day on this page. So if you visit this page every day, your chances increase to guess the best NeilPryde Rider.

To submit your guess you can simply fill out the provided form with your name, email address and the best NeilPryde Rider.

Please note:

As we cannot guarantee the availability of each colour you may only choose your size, we will then randomly choose an available colour. In case of more than 5 potential winners the winners will be drawn out of the hat.

Background

After the 13th Asian Games in 1998 in Bangkok, Titaree Tanakorn decided to organise a new cycling tour with support of 40 commissaries. First named the "Anti Drug Tour Thailand" the name later changed to "Tour of Friendship". Famed for its friendly and fun atmosphere, the event grew every year by 60-80 riders and this year the organiser expects around 200 foreign riders to compete. The "Tour of Friendship" is neither about professional racing nor money - it is all about the love for cycling and to connect cyclists from all over the world.

The tour is well organised, with a dedicated staff of 120 to take care of the roads and to support the cyclists on their ride.

The entry fee of THB15,000 covers the race fee, hotels, food and transfer to and from the airport - more or less all expenses.

The trophy will be different each year and it resembles a spare bike part.

NeilPryde will reward the rider with the fastest TT time across all categories on stage 1 with a brand new frameset (Epic Riders are not eligible).
