Shimano Dura-Ace

Shimano 105
New Shimano 105 is new for 2011 and incorporates many of the benefits that were originally developed for Dura-Ace 7900 series and integrated into Ultegra 6700 series. The new group is available in Sterling Silver for a classic road cosmetic or Lodestar Black for a more contemporary look. Overall, performance and durability is enhanced while the entire group manages to drop almost 30 grams from the prior generation.

Standard Crank
Standard cranks use a PCD of 130mm for Shimano and 130mm will allow an outer chain ring of 53 teeth and inner chain ring size of 38 teeth. If you are a really strong rider then you will always be able to have a higher high gear with a standard crank because of the larger chain ring sizes. At some level the standard crank is more efficient at the same speed for cadence. This is because a standard crank uses a larger chain ring and larger rear cog than a compact crank does at the same speed for cadence. If you don't climb alpine climbs and maybe you do a bit of racing or fast riding where seriously low gears aren't necessary.
Compact Crank
The most common chain ring size option for 'compact' cranks is large ring of 50 teeth and a small ring of 34 teeth. This requires a PCD of 110mm and this PCD is common to all compact cranks.
The compact crank will have a lowest gear ratio that is 13% lower than a stand crank. However, top gear will also be lower by 6%. The bottom line is that a rider will be able to climb a steeper hill on a compact crank than they will be able to on a standard crank.

The FSA SL-K seat post has a one-bolt saddle clamp with medium setback and CroMoly hardware. It has a 6061-T6 alloy and carbon fibre 3K weave tubular construction and a one-bolt saddle clamp design with medium setback and CroMoly hardware.
FSA TEAM ISSUE (WITH ULTEGRA ONLY)
The Team Issue seatpost is constructed a carbon/alloy shaft tube with a single bolt alloy head and chromoly hardware. The Team Issue seatpost features 25-millimeters of setback for better bike fit and saddle support.

FSA WING PRO COMPACT (WITH ULTEGRA ONLY)
With the Wing Pro Compact, FSA mates this wing-style top with a shallow ("compact") drop. At a 125mm drop and 80mm reach with round drops, you can easily find your sweet spot in the drops without having to force your hands to conform to the flat area of an anatomic drop.
FSA OMEGA COMPACT (WITH 105 ONLY)
The FSA Omega Shallow Handlebar has 125mm of drop and 80mm of reach. It has a modified ergo shape that is more rounded on the drops than typical ergo-design handlebars. It has both front and rear grooves for cable routing. The center section bulges to 31.8mm diameter.

Though the SL XC is made for comfort, it's relatively light due to the fiberglass reinforced nylon shell. The manganese tubular rails are also lightweight, yet plenty strong for a lifetime of service over rough terrain. It measures 143mm wide by 275mm long.
